Success Freaks #111 – Keeping the Ball Rolling When You Just Don’t Want To

August 23, 2013 by Success Freaks

Have you ever experienced those moments when you just don’t want to keep hammering away at something anymore? Those moments when what was once fun is no longer enjoyable? It’s times like these when keeping the proverbial ball rolling is most important.

How do you do this when you don’t have the time, the energy, or the desire to keep plugging away at what was once a beloved project or goal? First, cut yourself some slack – beating yourself up isn’t going to get anything done faster or better. That being said, it’s up to you to motivate yourself back into doing “that voodoo that you do so well.”

Want to hear a few more tips on this? Join Mordant & McFall as they discuss keeping the ball rolling in Success Freaks episode #111. Listen in as they share their own experiences – from easy-peasy to downright-difficult. Learn what the Success Freaks did it when they could have let the ball drop, but instead chose to keep it rollin’, rollin’, rollin’ instead.

“Pick your priorities for they will become your life.” ~R.Mordant Mahon

This episode, the Success Freaks chat with singer, songwriter, and “almost-famous”-achiever of other awesome stuff Jody Whitesides.  The conversation ebbs and flows, touching on Jody’s current Pledge Music: “Bring New Music to Life” project, his Heroes television show-inspired song, “Hero Unexpected,” and his Taylor Swift parody, “Maybe You’re the Problem,” and what price you might be forced to pay in order to hold onto what you believe in.

Laughter abounds as Mordant & McFall delve into how Jody Whitesides’ ever-positive attitude has helped him persevere past numerous high-achievement close calls.  Listen in and learn his secrets about this and maintaining momentum no matter which way your flight path spirals.

Success Freaks #109 – Maintaining Momentum

August 7, 2013 by Success Freaks

Have you ever been truckin’ on down the road with whatever it is you’re achieving in your life and you begin to run out of steam?  You were plowing ahead and you want to continue moving forward no matter what obstacles or distractions get thrown your way.  What steps do you take to keep on keepin’ on?  Is it enough to merely maintain with what you’re doing?  Or is it more important to continue, riding your momentum onward & upward to new heights.

Mordant & McFall have a lot of irons in the fire, balls in the air, fill in your own metaphor.  So much momentum to maintain they should be growing by leaps & bounds.  But, are they?  Have they used what they’ve learned from their June conference to springboard to the next level?  Or are they resting on their laurels, catching their collective breaths and waiting for the next big wave to come along?

Tune in and find out what Maintaining Momentum means to them and discover what it might mean for you.  The insight you take away might just help launch you toward the next level of your Bigger, Better, Badder, More Life.

The Motorcycle Story pt.1

August 6, 2013 by Charles McFall

Raise your hand if you believe in the Law of Attraction (LOA). Now raise your hand if you actually have stories to confirm your belief. The thing with faith is, unless you have tangible breadcrumbs to look back on, at some point you start to question your path. Not only do you need confirmation in your own life that what you believe is indeed true, but when you are learning from or following teachers, you need confirmation from their lives that what they are teaching is true. The saying goes, “Those who can’t – teach,” but that is a load of crap. Have you ever truly learned something from somebody that couldn’t do what they were telling you? I have finally lived long enough and paid enough attention that I now have some solid law of attraction stories. This one is the motorcycle story.

August 1, 2013 by Success Freaks

What happens when you’ve reached all the goals you have set for yourself?  Do you stay put or do you create new ones?  Are you a failure if you haven’t met those goals?  If you abandon them for new dreams and aspirations?  All of these questions are addressed as Mordant & McFall compare notes with their good friend Farnoosh Brock of prolificliving.com.

In this episode, these three dream hunters push themselves to remain transparent about what happens when you outgrow some dreams.  They open up to one another, discussing what it means to discover the “Freedom To Move Beyond.”  They share personal stories of both success and failure, as well as what it took for them to push beyond what even they thought possible.

As long as you make sure to stay true to who you are, creating a life worth living, there is no way for you to be considered a failure.  Learn that you can change course, reaching outside your comfort zone in ways you never thought available to you.  Listen in and begin your journey to a point beyond..

I would rather be ….

July 30, 2013 by Charles McFall

As I sit in front of my computer screen with time on my hands, I have chosen to write instead of playing Borderlands 2. When I don’t have time I truly desire to write. I have many sections left in the new book I am working on, a commitment to the newsletter each month, and a strong desire to put out a blog post each week. Why is it that when you are inspired, you never have time? Now I have the time and energy and I find myself drawn to the Xbox. I have chosen to write because I need to. I need to practice the self discipline. I need to build the habit of putting words to virtual paper to build the skill of being able to do it whenever I can. And because I hear Mordant’s voice in my head saying, “Dude.” I would rather be habitually creative than habitually lazy.

Success Freaks #107 – Forgive Yourself And The Rest Will Follow

July 26, 2013 by Success Freaks

What does it mean to forgive?  According to Merriam-Webster it means to give up resentment for and to grant relief from payment of a noun (person, place, or thing) that is pissing you off (this is the paraphrased version of course).  These are all things that we need to do in order to level up our lives.  We all have moments when we think holding a grudge will make us feel better.  In fact, it is usually a major thing holding us back.  Whether it’s McFall being angry with his internet provider or Mordant holding on to the person he once was, we all have at least one thing in our lives we need to forgive and let go.

The title of Success Freaks show #107 is “Forgive Yourself and the Rest will Follow.”  Join our forgiving hosts as they relive those moments in which they realized that the best thing to do was to turn around and walk away.  Say “I Can” by letting go of what holds you back and hear what it took for Mordant & McFall forgive, to let it go, and move on.
