Segment One –
Names are correctly pronounced (for fun & profit). If you love the show and want to participate, C & M fill us in on The Chat Room plus where and when to listen LIVE! Mordant touches base on a Huffington Post article on Deflategate and how that gave him the inspiration for this week’s topic. Questions are asked: Is cheating worth it? If it matters whether you win or lose, is that really how life works? And, what does that mean for an Entrepreneur? Mordant tells us a story about cheating at the checkout counter.
Segment Two –
Charles admits that he cheated on homeschool spanish tests. Is a “life-hack” cheating? Charles discusses “working the system” to achieve your goal. Mordant talks about the benefit of “cheat days” at the gym and the ways that taking shortcuts with your workout can be harmful.
Segment Three –
Charles calls Mordant out for “dodging a bullet” with his cheating story. Mordant give some followup on the “cheat day” concept. He discusses the “Law of Attraction,” the idea that we are all interconnected and that teamwork is an essential part of success. Charles talks about the importance of consistency and how cheating can interfere with consistency in how you live your life. Pizza is mentioned and The Chat Room empties for a moment while everyone calls their local pizza place. Mordant talks about falling “off the wagon” by cheating and the importance of not being discouraged and climbing back on.
Segment Four –
Level Up – Should you “Cheat to Win”? Charles & Mordant discuss our society and how the pressure to be successful (especially in business) can lead a person to cheat.
Charles’ Level Up: If you think you may be cheating look around you. Perhaps this is a new paradyme. Maybe you’ve found a new or even better way to reach your goal? Ask yourself, ‘Why am I doing this?’
Mordant’s Level Up: If you know that whatever you’re doing will make you feel bad, don’t do it! Trust your own sense of personal well being. Never compromise your soul in the pursuit of success.
Segment Five –
On Beyond Success Freaks: Charles & Mordant go Bigger Badder Better More… Gamer Cheat Codes and Life Hacks, Baby!
Using cheat codes in your favorite game isn’t actually a cheat. Mordant tells us of his love of Life Hacks and his favorite place to find them.
