Have you ever felt like you just laid down and let the world run you over? Have you ever been the person who runs everyone over? Are you a Demanding Diva!? Mordant & McFall share stories about finding the balance between getting what you want and feeling good about standing your ground.
On this episode of Success Freaks, McFall enjoys this opening way more than most. (No… we don’t know what that means either.) Mordant & McFall talk about pushing back so much that YOU become the bully. The boys advise on how to handle that bully at work. In the Level Up section We learn how to stand up for ourselves… but, be nice! And in On Beyond, 3 ways to deal with the Divas.

Segment One –
Charles and Mordant discuss the difference between touring the country as a member of a sketch comedy group and being on the run from the Law. (Their lives of crime include offenses that range from unpaid parking tickets to overdue Library books.) The guys talk about today’s show title, “Demanding Divas,” and the large range of subjects that the term describes.
Segment Two –
Charles tells a story about deciding to speak up about poor customer service. Asking for what you deserve, or are entitled to, isn’t being a Diva. Mordant talks about being bullied and how important it is for you to stand up for yourself. The experience of being bullied is a universal one. How we handle that experience has a lot to do with our search for success.
Segment Three –
We open the 3rd segment with a Listener Question: How do you deal with a Demanding Diva at work? The guys talk about the challenges of teamwork and conflict in the workplace. Are YOU being the Diva? Mordant tells the story of directing a show and the challenge of listening to your subordinates vs. the responsibility of being the individual in charge.
Segment Four –
Mordant re-butts Charles’ story from Segment 3.
Level Up
Charles’ Level Up: Find a way to speak up… even when you don’t want to. “Speak truth to love.” Learn how to say things that lead.
Mordant’s Level Up: Roadhouse Rules: “Be Nice.” Treat others with respect. Learn to stand up for yourself without being a bully.
Segment Five –
On Beyond Success Freaks: Charles tells us of his experience being Bullied and BEING a Bully. It’s about “control.” Charles replies to a question from “Crafty Hooker,” in the Chat Room, about how to handle being Bullied. Mordant talks about the importance of “having a thick skin” or perhaps “standing up” to the Bully in a mature manner. Try to understand the “damage” that the Bully is dealing with. Charles gives an example of how he overcame a “bully” situation. Mordant points out that we are ALL worthy of respect, but may need to DEMAND that respect.
