An important part of freedom is the freedom to be yourself and change yourself for the better.  To do this, you must first discover what you can do to “Be Free to Be You.”

What is freedom? Is it possible that we have too much freedom and is it a bad thing? In this episode, Mordant & McFall chat about what the true meaning of freedom is. Whether it’s the political aspect or your own personal freedoms, what does this word mean? Is it the right to make your own decisions? Is it a lack of restraint? Or is it being able to walk down the street with whomever you want, wearing and saying whatever you want?

So say “I CAN” and take advantage of your freedom. Use that freedom and make the choice to listen to Mordant & McFall discuss the many freedoms we didn’t realize we had. Why aren’t you a good parent?

I have four children. Yes, I do know how they get made, and no, I don’t need another hobby. Thanks for those fresh insights, though – I appreciate the sentiment. When my first child was born, everything was either head knowledge or all new experiences. You are given so many opinions about what to do as the baby is coming, from so many well intention-ed people – but without the experience to balance it, you really have nothing to go on.

Grow the Good

Why is it you allow yourself to get caught up with the things you say you do not want in your life?  You focus on your problems, knowing full well what you focus on grows and grows and grows…Your blood pressure skyrockets and your stomach bleeds fresh ulcers as you wring your hands in consternation.  What’s up with that?!

Wouldn’t it be better to fix your attention on those things you want?  Whether it’s to Be, Do, Have—whatever it is you desire—shouldn’t you be fixated on that?  Even a little bit?  And, since you’re co-creating your world by putting your conscious and subconscious thoughts in gear, shouldn’t you put more effort into training your brain to lean towards the positive?  If that is the way the Universe works (it is), then why-oh-why are you wasting your time mainlining negative drama?  If you’re going to be addicted to something, then shouldn’t it be something that lets you off at a much brighter place than the spot where you began this ride?

Forty Pieces of Wisdom

Turning 40 years old is a milestone. It is one of those birthdays where people tend to freak out, declare that they are “old”, and get super emotional. Age 40 has been described as “too old to be young, too young to be old.” People who are about to reach this particular birthday tend to feel the need to re-evaluate their lives, make “mid-life crisis” types of changes, and spend time worrying about how their lives might have turned out if only they had made a different choice at a critical moment. Many focus on what they do not have instead of all the things in their life that brings them joy.

Except for me, that is. Instead of doing the whole overly emotional “drama” thing, I will instead do something useful. Here are 40 pieces of wisdom that I have learned through the course of my life. I will happily share my knowledge with you so that you can make your life better. These are not in order of importance, or any other kind of order.
